Why Is Travel Insurance Important?

It doesn't matter whether it's summer or winter, people make travel plans in all seasons of the year. Those who book tour packages to see and get to know new places of the world, who buy tickets in advance, book hotels... and what else. Everyone has a desire and a goal to discover new things.

But traveling is also a serious risk. A different climate means the possibility of getting sick, e.g. Or you may have an accident in the country you are traveling to. On the road, in the hotel, on the mountain, on the beach... None of us are insured against such accidents. But we can insure ourselves financially for accidents that may happen. Travel insurance is included in the list of documents initially required from embassies to apply for a Schengen visa.

One of the most needed financial documents when traveling is travel insurance. "Yeni Musavat" took into account the relevance of the topic and prepared a certificate on travel insurance. Travel insurance covers accidents, medical expenses, and other risks that may occur during a trip to foreign countries related to your health. It is important that we think about unexpected events and sudden illnesses when we are outside the borders of our country. Sudden illnesses and accidents that we encounter not only disrupt our rest and business mood, but also require a significant amount of financial resources. Not being insured against these events means being powerless in the face of future threats.

If these dangers happen outside our home and no one can come to our aid, then we have only to think seriously about what to do.

It is for this reason that many countries around the world do not allow people without travel insurance to enter their countries. As a result of an insured event during the period of validity of the insurance contract, the insured person:

 - on medical (outpatient and inpatient) services

 - medical transport/evacuation and repatriation

 - Legal aid

 - loss of luggage

 - travel delay etc. expenses incurred in connection with the insurance are paid within the limit of the insurance amount.

The insurance of tourists in foreign countries is handled by the partner of the insurance company in that country. The contact details of this partner are indicated in the insurance contract. However, customers should be aware of some issues when purchasing travel insurance. For example, it is necessary to clarify in advance with the insurance company who should be contacted in the event of an incident. Some insurance companies require that you contact their "hotline" when an incident occurs. Otherwise, no payment is made. In addition, some companies require that all hospital expenses be agreed with the insurance company and its partner in that country. All these issues should be considered.

Compared to the cost of tourist trips, the amount paid for travel insurance is small. The specific amount of the price depends on which country the traveler is going to, the purpose of the trip, the age of the client and the duration of the trip. In addition, insurance premiums depend on the group of tourists. Insurance premiums for athletes, elderly and elderly people, people who pursue hard work (for working in snow, construction) and mountain climbers are higher than for ordinary tourists. As their risks are high, they have to pay more for insurance.

As with other types of voluntary insurance, the exemption amount applies to travel insurance. Usually this amount is around 50 dollars. That is, up to this limit, the tourist has to bear the expenses himself. Insurance companies can provide travel insurance on the basis of contracts concluded with each other. The price of travel insurance varies according to the amount to be covered and the type of trip. For example, in Azerbaijan, in addition to travel insurance up to 50,000 manats, there are also travel insurances worth 15-25 manats.

When traveling to European countries, a tourist must buy travel insurance. This aims to pre-compensate the host country for the financial hardship due to the event that will happen to the tourist during the trip. The price of travel insurance usually varies depending on whether the trip is extreme or non-extreme. If the trip is very dangerous, if they climb mountains, if it is a trip in rapid rivers, etc. if it is an extreme trip, the travel insurance company may even refuse the insurance. Or, if they provide travel insurance, it can be very expensive. Because the probability of an accident is very high.

Travel insurance is usually non-refundable. Even if nothing happens to the tourist, that amount is not refunded. But the fine points here should not be forgotten. If the tourist has undergone an operation or has chronic diseases, if the disease has been in the body for a long time, this is not covered by travel insurance. A tourist may get food poisoning, have an accident during the trip, or an organ of his body may be injured. Or, allergic problems may arise from the air of the country he visited during the trip. All of these, i.e., all problems related to the trip, are related to travel insurance. If a person has a tooth extraction or any cosmetic surgery or heart surgery in the country he is visiting, none of these are covered by travel insurance.

If something happens to the customer in a foreign country, he may not be able to pay the resulting costs. Travel insurance will cover these costs. The insurance covers the client's health expenses. If a tourist goes on a trip without signing the insurance, neither the tourist company that directs him nor the insurance company bears any responsibility for any unfortunate incident that may happen to him. The tourist has to cover all expenses himself.
