Here are some tips for those traveling by plane.
Before the flight
- Check the set of necessary documents for the trip: foreign passport (and in the case of domestic flight – ID card) and plane ticket.
- Apart from these documents, you will not need any other documents at the airport. By presenting a bunch of documents to an employee at the airport or passport control service, you cause him to search for the necessary document and therefore prolong the process.
- If you will be flying internationally, we recommend printing your airline ticket booking form and proof of residence. Security service officers can often request these documents as well.
- Be sure to take a blue or black pen with you so that you don't waste time looking for a pen to fill out the forms during registration.
- Take a photocopy of your documents with you or take a picture of them and send them to your email address so that you can use alternative options if you lose them.
- Pack your luggage neatly, remove the stickers from other airports and check that the suitcase lock is working.
- Arrive at the airport early to avoid late check-in.
- At the airport, you may be checked multiple times. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare for this procedure in advance: try not to wear a belt, and your shoes should be comfortable to take off and put on.
- It is forbidden to carry liquid, sharp and cutting objects in hand luggage. You can get a full list of these types of items on the airline's website. This is also mentioned on the ticket.
- If you have multiple debit cards, keep one in your carry-on so you can have a plan B in case you lose your wallet.
While on the plane
- Place your carry-on luggage in the designated area so that it does not fall on top of you if the plane shakes. It is also recommended that you remove your shoes to be comfortable along the way.
- Don't forget to turn your phone on or off. This will help to save energy on the phone and reduce problems with the device of the aircraft.
What can be done on the plane?
- Modern liners have televisions installed on the seats. Alternatively, you can watch pre-loaded movies on your laptop. In addition, you can read books or drink alcoholic beverages on the plane.
- If you travel a lot, you can get an e-book so you don't have to carry extra luggage with you all the time.
- Do not drink too much liquid during long flights, as your legs will start to ache in connection with the sitting position.
- You can take sleeping pills with you. After taking the medicine, you will feel that the time passes quickly and you will not suffer from insomnia after landing the plane.
After the plane lands
- Do not forget to collect your belongings that you placed in the seat pocket.
- Do not rush to the exit immediately after the plane lands. You will have at least 10-15 minutes to get dressed and pack your things. Then you will be transferred to the airport, passport control service and baggage claim procedure.
- During the baggage claim procedure, if your bag is more original and colorful, you will be able to find it easily and quickly.
